Community Splash is an annual event with a two fold mission: to introduce incoming new students to volunteering and service-learning opportunities at UW–Madison and to familiarize participants with some of the local agencies that rely on the continued dedication and commitment of the university community.
Community Splash provides students with an opportunity to make these connections and form lasting friendships with other like-minded students.
Community Splash will be held on September 13, 2008. Students will sign up for one of eight volunteer opportunities in Madison. The day will start with a kick of in the Red Gym and then students will depart with a group leader to their project. After volunteering, all volunteers will return to the Red Gym for a lunch and a celebration. Pre-registration is required.
