The Morgridge Center invites applications for an academic staff Grants Coordinator position. Build a funding program from the ground up and leverage existing matching gift funds. Position responsible for researching, developing, and submitting proposals; securing funding from federal, state, private agency, corporate, foundation and individual sources to support the mission and goals of the Morgridge Center.
Three to five years experience in successful grants development, ideally in higher education or in the non-profit sector is required. A working knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures of the UW-Madison and the State of Wisconsin is strongly preferred. The successful candidate should have strong writing, analytical and strategic thinking abilities, self direction and initiative, and proven skill in research and writing (case studies, letters of inquiry, grant proposals, reports, etc). Effective communication and interpersonal skills with individuals and groups in diverse settings is essential, as is the ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to manage time and resources effectively to meet deadlines and maximize desired outcomes.

The Morgridge Center hires new student employees every spring for the following academic year. (We are not currently accepting appications for any positions.) Our student staff plays an integral role in the on-going development and delivery of the Center’s programs and resources. Many of our student positions provide a unique leadership experience and allow students to help facilitate service and learning activities with their peers.
