After each and every video session, please upload the footage by using the communications laptop. Do not let any video footage linger and sit in the camera’s memory card because at any given point, the memory card may be reformatted and you may lose it. No one should be using the laptop but the communications team.
If you are uploading the footage into the laptop, it is assumed that it is a project you are working on. Please store the video files into the blue “Samsung SSD 500gb” and into a specific folder with titles. The SSD can be found in the side pocket of the communications laptop bag and there is a USB-C to USB and a USB to USB wire. After you plug in the SSD, it will prompt you to log in, with the password being Iowa3Brazil? After you upload the files, please reformat the camera’s memory card by inserting the card back in the camera and select “Format” in the camera’s menu.
The same will apply to all audio files as well. If you need the Hyperdrive adapter to put the USB and Micro-SD cards into the laptop, please see the communications specialist.
All video projects should be edited on Adobe Premiere. When you edit on premiere, it is okay to launch the program through the laptop and edit the clips off of the SSD. However, you will always need to have the SSD plugged in to ensure that the media files still exist as you edit.
Once the project is complete and you have exported the final product, please move the files to the Shared Drive in the Marketing folder -> videos and delete them off the SSD.
