Guidelines for Community-based Learning
To be eligible for Course Development Grant funding, the proposed course or section must align with the UAPC-approved Guidelines for Community-based Learning.
Student and Community Impacts
A Course Development Grant proposal must also clearly address the following:
Student Impacts:

- Plan to engage a diverse group of UW-Madison students, particularly under-represented students, to address a community-identified need
- Student learning outcomes (both academic and professional development) and their assessment (See Essential Learning Outcomes for Students.)
Community Impacts:

- Evidence of working with community stakeholders to explore project needs
- Anticipated short and longer term impacts on the community partner(s) and/or their clients
