Badger Volunteers & Service Learning Students

Badger Volunteers and Service-learning Students may qualify for cabs at no cost. Follow the steps to see if you qualify and begin scheduling rides:

  1. Determine if your site is cab eligible. If it takes more than 35 minutes to get to your site via bus, your site may qualify for cabs paid for by the Morgridge Center for Public Service.
  2. Complete the online registration

  3. Wait up to two business days for your registration to be approved
  4. Schedule a ride at Union Cab's website
  5. Submit ride requests in advance of your scheduled volunteer time. We recommend scheduling at least 24 hours in advance.

Campus Pick-Up Locations

Cabs pick up and drop off at the Wisconsin Alumni Association, 21 N. Park Street, Union South, and Dejope Hall

Students who schedule a ride but fail to show up for their ride more than twice in one semester will lose their access to the Morgridge Center for Public Service's cab service.

For All Students

Due to budget constraints, the Morgridge Center for Public Service is only able to offer cabs at no cost to eligible students in Badger Volunteers and Service-Learning courses. If you are a student interested in taking a cab to your volunteer site outside of one of these programs, you can estimate the cost of your ride

You can also find a list of community organizations close to campus in order to find a location that might fit your volunteer interests without the need for a car.
