Morgridge Center for Public Service 2023-24 Annual Report

The Morgridge Center for Public Service released its annual report highlighting the center’s activities and programs over the past year. The report details how the center lives out its mission of building a thriving democratic society by connecting campus with community through service, Community-based Learning and Research.

Highlights from this year include: the return of Summer Badger Volunteers since the COVID-19 pandemic, piloting a new learning cohort tailored for undergraduate students interest in community engagement, community-university partnerships awards and more.

After 10 years, Assistant Director of Community-Engaged Scholarship will be transitioning on from the Morgridge Center to a teaching faculty in civil and society and community studies at the School of Human Ecology.

Madden has been at the Morgridge Center since 2014, where she first started as a Community-based Learning graduate assistant. Madden also served as Community-Engaged Scholarship specialist from 2017 to 2020. The Morgridge Center is deeply grateful for Madden’s dedication to the center and her ardent passion for creating stronger relationships that allow for a more just-world. We thank Madden for her time, commitment and greatly look forward to seeing where her work continues in the future.
