Each year, tribal teens on the Bad River (Ojibwe) Reservation in northern Wisconsin learn digital storytelling skills from UW-Madison faculty and students.
“Tribal Youth Media” is designed as a knowledge transfer by which UW-Madison students learn about Native American environmental health issues from Bad River elders and culture-keepers and, in turn, share technology skills with Bad River youth in the production of media designed to address health disparities.
The project is partially funded through a 2013 Morgridge Match grant from the Morgridge Center for Public Service.
