Concerts on the Square

The Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra (WCO) is seeking volunteers to help with an audience survey project during their 2016 Concerts on the Square season. Volunteers must commit to at least one Wednesday evening performance during the 2016 Concerts on the Square season. For more information, contact Mae Saul atmaesaul@wcoconcerts.org. Bicycle Compost Volunteers

Full Cycle Freight interns collect compost bins at sites across campus and using a bicycle trailer, carry them to the FH King garden at Eagle Heights. Interns only need to volunteer 3 hours a week to help us run this program. While we hope to run through fall, we are busiest during the summer so we are looking to hire immediately. Summer Day Camp Volunteer

Neighborhood House in Madison runs a summer day camp for local kids ages 7-12, and they’re looking for volunteers who want to be a part of our summer fun! Camp runs June 20 – August 12, Monday through Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm. Volunteers will play games, make crafts, chaperone field trips, and build positive relationships with the campers. Movers and Shakers Therapeutic Dance Group

Friday Nights at the Y

The YMCA has developed special programming Friday nights this summer with the Madison Police and Fire Departments as well as other volunteers… like you! The nights will include “life sessions” programs where volunteers can come in and teach the youth different life skills. These lessons can range from how to adapt to college life to how to paint the perfect picture. The Y also needs volunteers to help hang out with the kids and assist staff members. Group Conversation Volunteers

Computer Lab Manager

Do you have experience training teaching or supervising adults? Are you proficient with computers? Literacy Network is looking for a volunteer to help low-literate adults learn and practice basic computer skills in their Computer Lab. Summer Evening Concert Assistants

Share some relaxing evenings listening to a variety of musical performances with independent living, assisted living and memory car residents. Duties includes transporting residents using wheelchairs and helping residents find seating. Elementary Summer Camp Community Garden Volunteer

The Goodman Community Center’s elementary summer camp will be making trips to Troy Gardens. They are looking for volunteers with gardening experience to share the joys are gardening with youth. Swimming Lessons for Elementary-aged Kids

The Goodman Community Center is looking for volunteers to help with swim lessons for elementary-aged children. Volunteers should be strong swimmers and be able to commit to a weekly schedule for the duration of summer programming. Goodman Community Center Middle and High School Programs

Volunteers are needed for a range of summer programs for middle and high school students. Opportunities include educational gardening, enrichment clubs and field trips.
