In 2008, the Morgridge Center for Public Service launched Badger Volunteers to foster civic engagement among students through volunteer work.
To wrap up the program’s ten-year anniversary, the Badger Volunteers Media Committee released a special edition yearbook to commemorate the program’s history. The publication features Badger Volunteers through the years, program alumni, community partners and more.
As part of the Wisconsin Idea, Badger Volunteers has bolstered the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s service mission by offering hours of community service, volunteering and collaboration with local organizations.
“On the ten-year anniversary of Badger Volunteers’ founding, I am grateful for the impact this program has had on the UW–Madison campus and the greater Madison community,” says UW-Madison Chancellor Rebecca Blank.
