Peer Advisors ready to help UW-Madison students find volunteer opportunities

Finding the right volunteer opportunity can be a tough task—particularly for students.

That’s why the Morgridge Center for Public Service staffs two student Peer Advisorswhose job it is to work with fellow UW-Madison students to help them find the perfect volunteer fit.

Both Peer Advisors are trained extensively and equipped with a variety of resources to match UW students with opportunities to fit any interest or availability. Whether it’s a one-time opportunity you’re looking for or a semester-long commitment, the Peer Advisors are here to help.

Students are welcome to schedule an appointment or send an email with questions to volunteer@morgridge.wisce.edu.

Peer Advisors also hold open Drop-in Advising hours this semester on:

Mondays, 2:00 – 4:00pm

Tuesdays, 10:00am – 12:00pm & 2:30 – 4:30pm

Thursdays, 10:00am – 12:00pm

Students who meet with a Peer Advisor will first fill out a survey to help the advisor better narrow interests and opportunities. The student and the advisor will then have a conversation to discuss potential options and the next steps.

UW-Madison students are also encouraged to sign up for Morgridge Mail, a weekly newsletter filled with volunteer opportunities and events as well as job and internship opportunities.
