Tuesday, Sept. 19 is National Voter Registration Day. Ready to celebrate this holiday and get civically engaged? We got you! Today, we’re sharing five ways to celebrate National Voter Registration Day.
- Register to vote! This might seem like an obvious one, but we’re here to let you know where you can register. You can visit the BadgersVote pop-up registration table on East Campus Mall on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Otherwise, you can register at the Madison City Clerk’s office Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Madison City Clerk’s office is at 215 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd Room 153, Madison Municipal Building Madison, WI 53703.
- Grab some BadgersVote swag! Stop by their table on East Campus Mall on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. to get some awesome stickers and merchandise.
- Visit vote.wisc.edu and refresh your voting knowledge. This website is the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s go-to voting resource. Check it out and read about voter eligibility, voter IDs and voting for out-of-state students.
- Get your voter ID at Union South. Did you know that neither out–of-state driver’s licenses or Wiscards count as a valid form of voter identification for Election Day? Lucky for you, eligible UW–Madison students can get a free campus-issued voter ID card at the Wiscard office in Union South. Visit anytime Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
