The Morgridge Center for Public Service is currently seeking submissions for proposals and student posters for the Wisconsin Idea Conference.
The conference, in its fourth year, will be held in Varsity Hall at Union South on Monday, March 2, 2026. Focusing on the theme of “Building Creative and Committed Partnerships,” this year’s conference aims to reaffirm the importance of collaborating across organizations to make a positive impact in our shared neighborhoods on issues that matter to residents.
Submit a Proposal for a Breakout Session
Proposals for a 75-minute breakout session should include collaborative teams of community and campus scholars, organizers or practitioners are strongly encouraged. Proposals should be submitted as one of the following: interactive workshop, panel discussion, partnership model discussion and research project overview. Submissions are open to anyone who wants to share their work, expertise or experience on issues related to this year’s theme.

Submit a Student Poster
Undergraduate and graduate students from any UW campus are encouraged to submit a poster to present their collaborative work. The poster session is an opportunity to demonstrate experiences collaborating with community organizations in partnerships built on shared leadership/power and focused on creating positive impact in communities.
Awards will be given to poster presentations that most fully demonstrate an understanding of commitment to excellence in community-university scholarship.
