Peer Advisors ready to help UW–Madison students find volunteer opportunities
Finding the right volunteer opportunity can be a tough task—particularly for students.
That’s why the Morgridge Center for Public Service staffs two student Peer Advisorswhose job it is to work with fellow UW–Madison students to help them find the perfect volunteer fit.
Both Peer Advisors are trained extensively and equipped with a variety of resources to match UW students with opportunities to fit any interest or availability. Whether it’s a one-time opportunity you’re looking for or a semester-long commitment, the Peer Advisors are here to help.
Students are welcome to schedule an appointment or send an email with questions to volunteer@morgridge.wisce.edu.
Peer Advisors also hold open Drop-in Advising hours this semester on:
Mondays, 2:00 – 4:00pm Tuesdays, 10:00am – 12:00pm & 2:30 – 4:30pm Thursdays, 10:00am – 12:00pmStudents who meet with a Peer Advisor will first fill out a survey to help the advisor better narrow interests and opportunities. The student and the advisor will then have a conversation to discuss potential options and the next steps. UW–Madison students are also encouraged to sign up for Morgridge Mail, a weekly newsletter filled with volunteer opportunities and events as well as job and internship opportunities.
